The dedicated, experienced staff includes board-certified two neuro-intensivists, physicians with fellowship training in neurological intensive care. Direct care on the dedicated 20-bed unit is provided by a highly trained, experienced team. They work closely with neurotrauma surgeons,neurologists and other specialists to resuscitate and support the critically ill patient, minimize secondary neurological injury and medical complications and begin transition to a recovery environment.
NSICU ) provides around-the-clock care for critically ill patients affected by brain or spine injury. They are closely monitored with the latest in specialized equipment, allowing doctors to gauge the patient's response to medication and other therapies, and advanced treatment allows early detection of complications. Clinically proven guidelines have been developed, implemented and are carefully followed within the NSICU to provide exception care for the neurologically ill patient.
